Tongue, May 2018

Our drive north to Sutherland took us past some old-favourites: Stac Pollaidh and Suilven…

We spent a couple of nights at the Eddrachilles Hotel on Badcall Bay…

We cycled to Loch Eriboll…

Past some stunning bays…

Through beautifully bleak moor land to Eriboll…

After two nights at the Eddrachilles Hotel we headed for Tongue Hotel, and on the way we climbed an old favourite…

Loch na Seilge, on the climb to Ben Stack…

As we climb higher the view opens-up: on the horizon the islands of Lewis and Harris…

Ben Stack is not very high, but it does have a true pointed summit and spectacular views…

Arkle and Foinaven…

After descending the south ridge of Ben Stack we have a 3-miles road walk back to our car…

Next day we cycled into the wilderness passed Ben Loyal…

We reach our turnaround point Loch an Dherue – and Julie’s quite pleased about that…

A few general photos from our great trip to Tongue:

Julie was very happy with the choice of seafood:-)
